The AlieraCare Premium 5000 plan is not subject to ObamaCare open enrollment dates, so you could drop your expensive ObamaCare plan and purchase one of these plans any time during the year. The plans use the PHCS PPO network of medical providers nationwide (you can search the PHCS network here). This is America’s largest PPO network, and just about all medical providers in the USA accept these plans.

From day one, primary practice doctor visits cost you $20 per visit, $75 for specialist visits, $300 per visit in an emergency room. You get free annual exams, as outlined by the Affordable Care Act, after you’ve been on the plan for nine months. They will pay for surgeries after you’ve been on the plan for two months. Hospitalizations and in and out-patient surgery are all covered.

The AlieraCare 5000 Premium plan is a very smart choice if you don’t have pre-existing conditions that need to be covered from day one if you were hospitalized. This plan will pay for pre-existing conditions in a hospital after you’ve been on the plan for 24 months, but will pay for pre-existing conditions from day one when you visit a doctor’s office. If you need immediate coverage for pre-existing conditions if you were hospitalized, see the Gold plan instead. This AlieraCare 5000 plan has a “deductible” (which is also your maximum out of pocket financial limit) of $5,000 per year. They don’t call the deductible a deductible – they call it MSRA, for Member’s Shared Responsibility Amount.

They will pay $5,000 per year toward normal maternity fees after you’ve been on the plan for 10 months (more for complications. See the Gold Aliera plan that does not have these limits on maternity expenses). The lifetime maximum they will pay for your medical bills is $1,000,000.

If you want a very well-priced health plan with access to over 1,000,000 providers all across the USA, this may be the plan you’ve been waiting for. For someone aged 50, the monthly cost is just $409.00. For a 50-year-old with a wife and children, the monthly cost is just $789.00. Here are the rates for the AlieraCare 5000 Premium plan:

There is a one-time application fee of $125, most of which they give to various charities and ministries. Health care sharing ministry plans, while not considered insurance by state insurance commissioners, meet the ObamaCare ACA requirements and you will not face an ObamaCare tax penalty for having one of these plans. More information about healthcare sharing ministry plans can be found here. These types of plans are becoming very popular all across the country.
