2019 Arizona ObamaCare Plans Available Soon

The 2019 ObamaCare Open Enrollment season is just around the corner. It begins on November 1st and ends on December 15th. You have those 45 days to shop for and enroll in a health plan and we can do all the work for you at no cost to you, including securing your tax credit. Depending upon where you live in Arizona, you’ll have at least two insurance companies to select from.

If you are entitled to receive a tax credit to help pay your monthly premiums, you’ll definitely want to go with a Marketplace plan. If you don’t get a tax credit, there will be some new options that will allow you to see the doctors and hospitals of your own choosing. But all plans have good sides and bad sides. We can explain those to you.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona will finally be offering health plans again in Pima county for the 2019 policy year. That means no matter where you live in Arizona, you can get a Blue Cross plan (but NOT in Maricopa county). The Blue Cross plans are true HMO plans. You will be assigned a doctor (you can then select a different doctor) and you’ll need written referrals to see any other doctors.

Health Net/Ambetter will again be offering plans in Maricopa and Pima counties. They call their plans HMOs, but for the most part, they work just like PPO plans. You don’t need referrals to see specialists, and you are not assigned a doctor.

A new carrier will be offering plans in Maricopa and Pima counties called Bright Health. They have some good plans that they also call HMOs, but for the most part, they act like PPO plans and you don’t need referrals for anything.

There are high quality health care sharing ministry plans from a company called Aliera HealthCare. Their plans are true PPO plans, which means you can see just about any medical provider anywhere in America.

There MAY be one or two more carriers offering plans here in Arizona, too. We’ll keep you informed.

Call us from anywhere in Arizona at (800) 600-9663, and we’ll give you rates and policy descriptions at no cost or obligation. But don’t call until the very end of October because some plan information will not become available until very late this month. You may get voicemail or a busy tone because we get a lot of calls. If you leave us a message, we promise we will return your call.

Or you can go here and fill out the form there that will take you about one minute. We will then email you all of the rates and policy descriptions. But again, don’t fill out that form until after October 25th because we won’t have all of the information until then.
