Assurant Short Term Health Insurance

If you do not currently have health insurance coverage, a short term health insurance policy may be perfect for you. Assurant (also known as John Alden and Fortis) is a national leader in the individual medical, small group, short-term and student health insurance markets.

Assurant offers their short term health insurance plan in all states except Hawaii, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York and Vermont.

Their short term policy is inexpensive and can go into effect as soon as tonight at midnight. You can keep the plan for up to one year, or cancel it whenever you want. The policy is not medically underwritten, which means they won't ask about your previous health history. If you haven't been treated in the past five years for heart attack, cancer, stroke, diabetes or AIDS, and if you're not pregnant or obese, they will issue a policy to you.

Lehrman Group and/or an associate of Lehrman Group holds insurance licenses in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia. Parties requesting rates from one of the states where Lehrman Group (or an associate of Lehrman Group) is not licensed will be contacted by a local agent or broker who is licensed by the Insurance Commissioner in that state.
