How did you get involved in the pizza business?
KR: I was always asking my friend [and founder of the company] Nick about getting in on the gig with him, and finally 8 years later he came to me and I bought part of the company. Then eventually I expanded the Broadway location and bought that one out, adding Kenny’s Pub.
What kind of pizza do you serve?
KR: We serve New York style, like you would find in a New York pizzeria. Hand-tossed, and we make the dough here. Good sauce, good cheese, all fresh produce. No preservatives in anything.
What are your favorite toppings?
KR: Mushrooms, zucchini, broccoli and artichoke hearts. Gotta have pepperoni too.
What do you like best about owning a restaurant in Tucson?
I enjoy the feeling of serving high quality food to the public of Tucson. It also gives me a chance to meet a lot of great people from everywhere.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
KR: I love to golf. Golfing is like my favorite thing to do in life. That and travel, play racquetball, and tennis.
How did you hear about Lehrman Group?
KR: Well I’ve only known Chad since we were 6 years old. So, twenty something years… of trust and experience.
